Despite the Government’s change in policy from 19 July to make the wearing of masks a voluntary measure, we believe it is important to continue to protect those of our friends and neighbours who are at greater risk from Covid infection. They have the right to visit our market without worrying that doing so could lead to them catching an infection that might put them in hospital or worse. Therefore, in line with many other retailers, we are asking visitors to Ham Parade Market to continue to wash their hands, wear masks if they can, and give each other space. We appreciate that the market is outdoors but nevertheless the risk is there: these are small gestures of kindness and respect that cost little but mean a lot.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
