The Ham Parade Market committee is made up of volunteers from our local area who are formally incorporated into The Ham & North Kingston (THANK) Community Interest Company. If you’d like to contact any of us, please use the form here, and just address your message to the particular recipient.
Chair: Matt Georges. Matt is a proud northerner but moved to Kingston in 2012 with his wife who grew up here. He was blown away by the friendliness and sense of community and so, when the bank, butcher and greengrocer on Ham Parade all closed down in quick succession he decided enough was enough. He held a community meeting to explore ideas to stop the decline of our local high street and, thanks to the enthusiasm of the volunteers who stepped forward to help, six months later Ham Parade Market was born. It’s been one of the most fun, most rewarding things he’s ever done.
Treasurer: David Butcher. David has been a very local resident for the last 30 odd years. He loves the area and his two grown up children haven’t moved that far away (Ham & New Malden). He has worked in IT for most of his career, and is now looking after the book keeping for the market.
Council Liaison: Jean Loveland and Cllr Andree Frieze (also PR)
Music and Raffle: Lulu (Louise) O'Hagan. Lulu left the Stockmarket in the 80's and since then has worked in film and tv production. She happily got involved from the first day of the market back in October 2017 (due to freelance unemployment!) However, she is now working full-time, but still never misses our meetings or market days. She lives in Ham with husband and two daughters and sorts out our live music days, the raffle HAMper and our social media.
